The Payroll Specialist is responsible for transactional, operational and strategic management of payroll, including the use of a HCM / HRIS system, to process and submit. Additional responsibilities include general system maintenance/requests/support. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate accurate preparation of bi-weekly payroll, annual performance reviews, bonus and incentive plan calculations, communication, and coordination.
  • Coordinate the accurate preparation of payroll procedures, reports and garnishments in compliance with all Federal, State, and local guidelines.
  • Process employee data, generate HR-related reports, manage system upgrades, and maintain data integrity.
  • Monitor reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential source of increased efficiency and enhancements.
  • Partner with senior management to set clear objectives and measures for team, designs feedback loops, oversees the implementation of process improvements.
  • Continually increase both Payroll and HRIS application/tools knowledge through classes, reading, Computer Based Trainings, and other mechanisms

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years’ work experience in full cycle Payroll Processing, Human Resources, system engineering, Accounting, Finance, or in a related field.
  • Previous knowledge and\or experience with Ceridian\Dayforce a plus.
  • Experience in, and aptitude for HRIS\Payroll system support and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Mastery of Microsoft office products, particularly with Excel to be able to build complex reports.
